Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory therapy involves the assessment and treatment of chronic lung problems such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). 

The Respiratory Therapy team at Jones Memorial includes an experienced Pulmonologist, as well as physicians, nurses, and physical therapists.  

The RT services at Jones Memorial Hospital include:

• PFTs (Pulmonary Function Tests)
• ​Arterial blood gas draws
• Ventilator management
• Airway Management
• Oxygen
• Administer drugs to the lungs via small volume nebulizer
• Code/Rapid response team
• Chest physiotherapy
• Bipap/cpap
• Patient education
