Dr. Brian Giordano is an Orthopaedic Sports surgeon and Associate Professor in the URMC Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation. He is the Co-Director of the Hip Preservation Program and is a specialist in sports medicine, athletic hip injuries, and non-arthritic hip disease. The Wu lab is currently working with Dr. Giordano to identify gene regulatory network and molecular mechanisms that modulate the development of hip osteoarthritis.
Dr. Farshid Guilak is a Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University and Director of Research for the Shriners Hospitals for Children – St. Louis Shriners. He is also the co-director of the Washington University Center of Regenerative Medicine and has appointments in the Departments of Developmental Biology and Biomedical Engineering. The Wu lab is currently working with Dr. Guilak to elucidate detailed cellular and molecular mechanisms of TRPV4-associated channelopathies and skeletal dysplasia.
