Neurology Fellowships

The Department of Neurology at the University of Rochester includes more than 100 full-time faculty who are engaged in clinical and basic investigative work. The Department consistently ranks in the top 10 nationally in extramural National Institutes of Health research funding. Fellowships are available for investigative training in many areas of clinical neuroscience. The Department has 26 current or accepted fellows training in 11 different areas.

Fellowships are supported by a number of NIH training grants. Other sources of fellowship support include private foundations and the grants of individual investigators. Many department fellows involved in research training have successfully applied for NIH debt-repayment ($35,000/year x 3 years).

Fellows are usually accepted for 2-3 years of clinical and investigative training.
