Education & Training Programs
The University of Rochester School of Medicine is the first institution in the nation to be awarded full accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education for six years. We maintain a GME rating of A+. At URMC Orthopaedics & Physical Performance, we treat more than 160,000 patients each year. Because our clinical practice comprises all twelve subspecialties of orthopaedics and physiatry, we offer both a depth and breadth of training opportunities.
The Department of Orthopaedics at URMC is an excellent choice for both residents and fellows to further their education. Many of our faculty are nationally and internationally known in their fields. We are an academic medical center noted for our commitment to research and are one of twelve institutions nationally to be part of a recent NIH grant for translational research.
