What Sets Us Apart
Clinical
URMC Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is home to one of the biggest clinical operations found in the United States, performing 12 million tests annually. It includes one of the largest Anatomic Pathology divisions in the nation, a team that sees nearly 180,000 cases each year.
Research
We offer a robust infrastructure for supporting clinical and translational research, including financial, administrative, and statistical support, and dedicated academic time. Multiple collaborations exist with other teams, including Wilmot Cancer Institute and Center for Musculoskeletal Research.
Education
Our programs encompass a range of learners, from residents to fellows, and the largest PhD program at URMC. Unique training initiatives for clinical/medical technologists, histotechnologists, and phlebotomists are addressing staff shortages in Rochester and across the state.
