Dr. Rebecca Abell

Rebecca L. Abell, D.O., Chief

The Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition provides diagnostic and consultative services and long-term management of children with gastrointestinal, hepatic and nutritional disorders, including liver transplantation. The latest advances in endoscopy, Capsule endoscopy, esophageal pH studies, and intestinal motility are utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of our patients.

Our new state-of-the-art endoscopy room is located in our child and family friendly pediatric surgical suite. Our division provides hospital and home based enteral and parenteral nutrition support services. We specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of intestinal and pancreatic enzyme deficiency states, including celiac disease.

We conduct clinical research on a variety of disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic esophagitis, and pancreatic dysfunction. Our faculty members also provide excellent pediatric gastroenterology fellowship training and electives for residents and medical students.
