As a Palliative Care provider who sees patients in consultation in the hospital, my goal is to help patients and their families navigate the complex medical decision making that occurs when a loved one is ill. When there are a lot of doctors saying a lot of different things, it's important to make sure that everyone is heard and understood and that we are all on the same page. My aim is to explore a patient's values in life and help translate those values into medical or surgical interventions and decisions. I am passionate about teaching other providers the skills needed to be expert communicators.
