Dr. Mala Gupta, MD is one of the best doctors that my wife and I have had. When my wife got cancer, Dr. Gupta was actively in regular contact with the team of oncologists who were treating my wife. Dr. Gupta also regularly called my wife and discussed any health issues or concerns that she was having. Dr. Gupta always found time to fit in appointments quickly when anything urgent arose.

After 20+ years as my Doctor, Dr. Gupta knows me very well and remembers things about my health that I have forgotten. In the past year or so I have lost about 35 lbs. I think Dr. Gupta's mild suggestion that I consider a plant based diet had a significant Impact on my weight loss, as did her refusal to harp at me to lose weight. Knowing I wouldn't get a sermon is what kept me continuing to come for regular check-ups.

The negligence of paperwork is very disappointing. 1) My mother, [...] years old, has been participating in the [...] program since 2017. Once a year, her PCP is supposed to renew a [...] form. The last two years, filling out this form has become a big problem. [...] sent the form to Dr Gupta in [...], before the visit. They indicated that the form must be returned no later than [...], otherwise my mother could lose her [...]. I myself also gave Dr. Gupta another copy during the visit. She, as always, promised to fill it in a timely manner. And again it was not done. On [...], [...] faxed the form again, this time asking Dr Gupta to complete it ASAP. On [...], [...] called me to say that they had not received the form back. Again, I had to contact the office several times before they finally completed this simple paperwork. Naturally, my mother was again very nervous, due to that. It's amazing the doctor doesn't understand this. [...] Since her last lab tests were done a year ago, the Dr Gupta said at the visit that new ones were needed and that she would order them now. Unfortunately, this has not yet been done either.

Dr. Gupta has been my PC doctor for many years. She knows me very well, she does NOT bug me about losing weight!!! From time to time she will suggest I read a book such as FORKS OVER KNIVES but she doesn't make me feel disgusted with myself. Interestingly, in the past 10 months I've lost 30 lbs. without the horror of counting anything or weighing in.

My residence Is somewhat relative to the experience. I injured my left shoulder on [...]. Went to urgent care in Batavia, was advised to go to emergency. Went to emergency in Batavia, took x-rays, did not see anything on them, was sent home. [...], I had fair amount of pain and swelling, called Dr. Gupta's after hours service and was directed to go to emergency at Highland Hospital and see an orthopedic. [...] I was given an appointment approximately 10 days out. So, I called Dr. Gupta and apprised her of my situation. About an hour or two later, I had a message in Mychart from Dr. Voloshin with an appointment for the next day. I have since had my surgery on [...], and now starting to rehabilitate, with physical therapy, with one of Dr. Voloshin's team members, Todd Peterson. I am very thankful and grateful that Dr. Gupta was able to get me seen in such an incredibly timely fashion. I also seem to be recovering fairly well and haven't had any pain or used pain meds since [...]. Dr. Voloshin expressed to me that I had incurred severe damage in my shoulder. I don't know how it will all turn out, but I am incredibly pleased with all care I have been provided. Thanks to all who helped me.

She understands that there Isn't an overweight person on this planet who needs to be reminded they are fat and who Isn't full of shame when they look In the mirror.
