Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM)
Sponsored by Drexel University, ELAM is a highly selective faculty development program for women leaders designed to expand their professional skills and network. Senior women faculty members who are leaders in academic medicine, dentistry or public health who have achieved the rank of Associate Professor or Professor are nominated for the program by their Department Chairs or Center Directors. The URMC call for nominations goes out around October/November and the final ELAM applications are due in January. Several URSMD faculty women have participated in ELAM.
Any faculty member who is interested in being considered for support to participate in one of these conferences or programs should communicate their interest to their Department Chair or Director.
