That reality changed the way we train our front-line staff to respond to such events. And it also won national recognition from the American Heart Association.
Gift Enhances Advanced Life Support Training for Our Nursing Professional Development Center
Friends of Strong recently funded the purchase of new training equipment for the UR Medicine Center for Nursing Professional Development's American Heart Association Training Center, including a QCRP AED w/Airway, ShockLink and SimPad simulator, and child-sized manikins compatable with the SimPad simulator—further helping refine the world-class care our nurses provide.
GCH and SMH recognized as 'Gold Safe Sleep Champions'
UR Medicine’s Golisano Children’s Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital’s Obstetrics Division were recently recognized by the National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program as “Gold Safe Sleep Champions,” the highest designation, for their commitment to best practices and education on infant safe sleep. They are the first and only hospitals in New York State to receive the title.
