The clinical operations of the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the University of Rochester encompass four different campuses with a total of over 70 anesthetizing locations, 23 clinic treatment and exam rooms, and 33 intensive care beds. We now provide direct patient care for over 66,000 anesthetics, clinic and inpatient visits annually.
The department is organized into 14 clinical divisions, with trained and experienced specialists in each area delivering state-of-the-art, patient-centered care. Periprocedural care, pain medicine and critical care are integral to the function of the URMC as a multispecialty, tertiary- and quaternary care medical center recognized throughout the region for clinical excellence.
