Education

Our faculty are committed to providing an outstanding education to our residents and fellows.  We draw from our diverse training backgrounds and experiences to teach our trainees a comprehensive and well-rounded approach to the perioperative management of patients with cardiopulmonary disease. Over the course of their training, residents and fellows learn to manage complex patients with cardiopulmonary disease undergoing a wide-range of clinical procedures.  Perioperative echocardiography, including 3-dimensional echocardiography, is a major component of our ACGME-accredited fellowship program.  Our trainees learn how to acquire and interpret echocardiographic images to answer specific clinical questions and inform perioperative and surgical decision-making.
