Golisano Children's Hospital / Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics / Services / Visual Supports / Having My Blood Pressure Taken Having My Blood Pressure Taken Today, I need to have my blood pressure taken. This is to make sure I am strong and healthy. The doctor will put the blood pressure cuff on my arm. The cuff will give my arm a hug! This will not hurt me. I will sit still. I can close my eyes and count, or I can sing my favorite song! Soon, the blood pressure cuff will stop squeezing. The doctor will take it off my arm.I can even practice this at home. That will help me get ready! I am all done. Everyone at the doctor's office will be proud to see how brave I am!
