Elizabeth Conrow, B.A.
Parent Support/Bereavement Coordinator
I have been intimately involved with the hospital since 2012 when my daughter Amanda was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Amanda was in and out of treatment for two and a half years before she died in 2015. My experience caring for a terminally ill child and navigating bereavement was a difficult one.
I began working at Golisano Children’s Hospital (GCH) in 2019 as a parent support and as the bereavement coordinator. I have been able to walk with families through difficult decisions and deep grief and relate as only another bereaved parent can. My role at the hospital has helped me honor my daughter Amanda’s life by easing the suffering of grieving parents and caregivers.
In addition to my role as a parent support and bereavement coordinator, I serve as a member of the GCH Pediatric Memorial Service Planning Committee and I am a peer support for several local bereavement groups.
Education
