"I grew up east of Albany, NY, and attended Albany Medical School near my hometown. My medical journey began with a med/surg transitional year at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, MA, before traveling back down I-90, past Albany this time, for a three-year Emergency Medicine residency in Rochester, NY. Afterward, I traveled slightly further down I-90 to Buffalo, NY, for an advanced emergency ultrasound fellowship. Rochester wasn’t initially on my radar, but living there for three years revealed its affordability, accessibility, rich culture, and vibrant community. I loved the balance of suburban living with easy city access and minimal commuting stress. The thing that really keeps me here, though, is the community of our department, the people I work with, and the relationships I’ve built here. I left to work in Boston for a little while, but when the opportunity came up to return, I jumped at the chance."
