Teaching Conferences

This is an interactive, lively learning session. Residents also participate in weekly chart rounds, monthly quality assurance rounds, monthly journal clubs, journal reviews, and numerous multidisciplinary tumor boards, representing all of the major disease sites.

Research / Elective Time

Residents are given six months of dedicated Radiologic Imageresearch / elective time in which to pursue their interests.

Palliative Care Elective

During their training, Radiation Oncology residents are encouraged to participate in a two week rotation offered by the University’s Palliative Care Program. Residents who take advantage of this excellent learning opportunity work under the leadership of Timothy Quill, MD, a highly respected member of the University community, and Director of the Center for Ethics, Humanities and Palliative Care. Dr. Quill also serves as President of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
