At the Flaum Eye Institute Center for Facial Aesthetics, we offer a wealth of surgical and medical options individualized to revitalize and recapture a more youthful appearance. We also address serious medical conditions or unexpected changes to facial harmony.

Unlike many other practices, we do not perform surgeries like breast augmentation or full-body contouring. Instead we are devoted to the beauty, uniqueness and expressiveness of the face. Any procedure we perform is done with a microsurgeon’s approach to restoring, enhancing and uncovering your best features with careful attention to balance and harmony.

In addition to our aesthetic practice, we offer a full range of medical and surgical care for patients who have disease-related, congenital or trauma-related abnormalities of the eyes and face. These services are provided through our orbital, reconstructive and adult motility services and include medical and surgical management of:

  • Tumors of the orbit, eyelid and face
  • Management of facial fractures
  • Facial reconstruction
  • Strabismus (crossed eyes)
  • Tear duct and lacrimal system
  • Blepharospasm
  • Thyroid eye disease
  • Eyelid reconstruction
  • Infectious orbital disease

This care is delivered by a team of physicians including Dr. Mithra O. Gonzalez, Dr. Steven Feldon and pediatric ophthalmologists Dr. Matthew Gearinger and Dr. Benjamin Hammond at our main location at the University of Rochester Medical Center and at our satellite locations.
