Micro Fat Grafting

Micro fat grafting is an innovative facial rejuvenation process in which fat from one area of the body is used to build lasting structural changes in the face. Fat grafting allows Dr. Gonzalez to sculpt sunken, hollow areas of the face to create a fuller, more youthful appearance.

Facial fat grafting restores volume to the face using your body’s natural filler. In many ways, micro fat grafting, also called lipostructure or facial fat transfer, is like a "permanent collagen injection" because once the fat has “taken” at the grafted site, it is essentially permanent.

In the procedure your own fat is collected (and specially processed) from a distant donor area, such as your stomach, and re-injected into the desired facial area. Facial fat grafting typically requires sedation plus local anesthesia if large amounts of fat are to be collected. Dr. Gonzalez can perform fat grafting in lieu of face lift surgery, or in combination with other facial rejuvenation procedures to provide an overall softer, younger looking face.
