Saturday Work 8/20

Crews will be on site Saturday 8/20 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Carpenters will be working on drywall and miscellaneous framing while mechanicals and piping are installed on the upper floors. Various exterior work will also be done using the swing stage scaffolding.

During the week, crews will be using the tower crane and buck hoist for activities on site. Fire proofing continues from scaffolding outside the structure. Interior and exterior framing will be installed on the 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, and mechanical penthouse floors. Drywall top fill is being completed on the 6^th and 7^th floors for mechanicals and drywall finishing is happening on all of the floors. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough ins continue throughout the addition. Brick is being installed on the fuel oil building and new exit corridor.

Next week there will be deliveries at the South Ave. entrance to the hospital from Tuesday 8/23 to Thursday 8/25 that may mean other simultaneous deliveries need to be redirected to the Mt. Vernon entrance.  If this happens, flaggers will be on site to direct traffic flow.

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. Any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency. 

Saturday Work 8/13

Crews will be on site on Saturday 8/13 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. working on drywall and framing as well as mechanical and piping installations on the upper floors. Crews will also be working on welding parts of the building from the scaffolding on the outside.

During the week, the tower crane and buck hoist will be used for various activities on site. Fire proofing continues along with interior and exterior framing on the 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, and mechanical penthouse floors. Drywall top fill is also being installed on the 6^th and 7^th floors for mechanicals. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing rough ins continue in multiple locations within the building.

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. Any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency. 

Saturday Work 8/6

Crews will be on site this Saturday 8/6 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Inside work will include drywall, framing, and pip installations. Exterior work will include welding and panel installation from scaffolding on the east side of the building.

During the week, crews will be using the tower crane and buck hoist for work throughout the building. Interior and exterior framing will be installed on the 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, and mechanical penthouse floors. Drywall top fill will be installed on the 6^th and 7^th floors for mechanicals. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough ins will be installed in multiple locations within the building. Brick is being installed on the fuel oil building and new exit corridor.

Saturday Work 7/30

Crews will be on site this Saturday 7/30 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Inside the building, carpenters will be working on drywall and miscellaneous framing while piping is installed on the upper floors. Outside, crews will be welding and installing panels from the swing scaffolding.

During the week, crews will be using the tower crane and buck hoist to assist with activities on site. Fire proofing continues as well as interior and exterior framing on the 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, and mechanical penthouse floors. Drywall installation and mechanical rough ins continue in multiple locations throughout the building. Brick installation has started on the new exit corridor.

Saturday Work 7/23

Crews will be on site Saturday 7/23 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. installing mechanicals on the upper floors of the new addition and conducting miscellaneous work from the swing scaffolding on the outside of the building.

During the week, crews will be using the tower crane and buck hoist for various activities on site. Interior and exterior framing will be happening on the 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, and mechanical floors and crews will be installing drywall top fill on the 5^th, 6^th, and 7^th floors for mechanicals. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough ins continue to be installed in multiple locations within the building.

On Wednesday, 7/27, contractors will be installing a small temporary trailer near the Emergency Department entrance on campus. It will be placed on the strip of land between the current trailer in the E.D. ambulance parking bay and the front loop. It will be a temporary office for Highland Security while their office space inside the building is under construction. The trailer will be in place for two-to-three months. Crews will be onsite to direct traffic as it’s installed.
