Saturday Work 4/16

Crews will be on site Saturday 4/16 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. fire proofing the inside of the shrink wrapped building. They will also be building framing and layout as well as installing some structural steel.

During the week, the tower crane will be in use for various activities on site. Crews will also be using the buck hoist (temporary exterior elevator) and fireproofing the inside of the 6th, 7th, and 8th floors. Crews will also be putting together the interior and exterior framing for the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th floors. Swing stage scaffolding is installed on the north side, with the east elevation operational. Roof demo and roof curb prep continues for the new boiler room directly above the 2nd floor south west corner of the observation unit.

The 4th floor concrete deck pour is tentatively scheduled for Thursday  April 21st  starting at 7 a.m. Concrete finishing has the potential to run late into the night but will not go past the City noise ordinance of 10 p.m.

Please keep in mind the concrete pour tentatively scheduled for next week will have the concrete pump on the south side of the new tower (engine running the during the entire pour), 2 concrete trucks rotating in and out at the concrete pump (engines running), and 1 concrete truck washing out (engine running). Crews will be in constant communication with the batch plant adjusting truck spacing depending on how the pour is progressing.

A flag person will be stationed at the South Avenue entrance to help back in the concrete trucks and help with traffic flow.

Crews will be on site Saturday 4/9 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. fire proofing structural members and putting together the framing and layout inside the shrink wrapped building.

During the week, the tower crane and the buck hoist (temporary exterior elevator) will be assisting with various activities on site. The layout is being installed on the 7th and 8th floors while fire proofing continues on the 6th and 7th floors. Interior and exterior framing is also being installed on the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th floors. Swing stage scaffolding will be installed on the north side, with the east elevation operational. Roof demo and roof curb preparation for the new boiler room will be occurring directly above the 2nd floor southwest corner of the Observation Unit.

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. For the deep foundation work, any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency.

Crews will be on site this Saturday 4/2 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. fire proofing structural members and installing framing and layout inside the shrink wrapped building.

During the week, the tower crane will be operating to install the roof and for other activities on site. Crews will be installing the layout on the 7th and 8th floors, including installation of the top track. Fire proofing structural members continues on the 6th floor plus interior and exterior framing on the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th floors. Swing stage scaffolding is installed on the east side and will be working its way around to the north side. Testing and inspections will be conducted on the buck hoist (a temporary exterior elevator). Once those are complete, that will also be operating during the week. Roof demolition and curb prep will also be taking place for the new boiler room that will be built directly above the 2nd floor corner of the Observation Unit.

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. For the deep foundation work, any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency.

Crews will be on site this Saturday, 3/26 from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. fireproofing the 5th and 6th floors as well as installing framing and layout inside the shrink wrapped new tower.

During the week, the tower crane will be operating with roofing and other activities on site. Crews will also be putting in the layout on the 6th and 7th floor including installation of the top track and fire proofing structural members on the 4th, 5th  and 6th floors. They will also be doing interior and exterior framing on the 1st, 2nd and 5th floors. Swing stage scaffolding is installed on the east side and will be working their way around to the north side. A buck hoist (temporary exterior elevator) will be installed on the south side exterior of the new tower. 8th floor concrete curbs are tentatively scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday, March 29th or March 30th starting at 7 a.m. 

Please keep in mind the concrete pour tentatively scheduled for next week will have the concrete pump on the south side of the new tower (engine running the during the entire pour), 2 concrete trucks rotating in and out at the concrete pump, and 1 concrete truck washing out.  Crews will be in constant communication with the batch plant adjusting truck spacing depending on how the pour is progressing.

There will be a flag person at the South Avenue entrance backing in the concrete trucks and prioritizing ambulance access.

Crews will be on site Saturday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. fireproofing the 5th floor of the new tower and installing framing and layout.

During the week, the tower crane will be in operation with roofing and other activities on site. Layout will be going in on the 6th and 7th floor including installation of the top track. Fire Proofing structural members will be happening on the 4th, 5th  and 6th floors. Interior and exterior framing will also be happening on the 1st, 2nd and 5th floors. Stairs are being installed between the 3rd and 4th floors and detailing and swing stage scaffolding will be installed on the east side, working its way around to the north side. A Buck Hoist (temporary exterior elevator) will be installed on the South side exterior of the new tower.
