Overview
Strong Internal Medicine (SIM) is an academic primary care practice. We are part of Strong Memorial Hospital and Accountable Health Partners, and we care for over 11,000 adult patients from our greater Rochester community.
We offer high-value primary care to deliver the best possible health outcome at the lowest possible cost. We are committed to health equity, which exists when everyone has the same healthcare opportunities, regardless of socioeconomic status.
Our teams are led by our faculty physicians and include an advanced practice provider (nurse practitioner or physician assistant), Internal Medicine residents, a registered nurse, and a physician support specialist.
This core team is supported by additional professionals as needed, such as our care managers, behavioral health providers, pharmacist, clinical dietitian, and social workers.
Our team-based model allows multiple health care providers and staff to work together to offer the best care possible for each individual patient.
As a teaching hospital, all of Strong Memorial Hospital’s medical clinicians supervise residents and participate in the education of residents and students. The result is a learning environment immersed in research, education, community, and innovation.
