In Memory of John Leddy, MD
John Leddy, MD served as Division Chief for 26 years from 1970 to 1996. He was responsible for the merger of Allergy Immunology with Rheumatology. Dr. Leddy was an extraordinary teacher, scholar, researcher, and compassionate clinician who exemplified all the best traits of an academic physician. The excellence in teaching and research he inspired has continued to the present in the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology.
In Memory of Eric Dreyfuss, MD
With the passing of Eric Dreyfuss, MD, the Pediatric Division of Allergy and Immunology and the Division of Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology at URMC have lost a devoted clinician, mentor and benefactor. As a professor emeritus, he had over 50 years of experience in the practice of allergy and immunology and was still an active preceptor for allergy/immunology fellows. He will be greatly missed by his colleagues, students and patients.
In Memory of Stephen Rosenfeld, MD
With the passing of Stephen Rosenfeld, MD, the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology and the Rochester community have lost an outstanding clinician, scientist, mentor and benefactor. Dr. Rosenfeld was a life-long clinician and teacher. As a professor emeritus he continued to see patients in his practice and remained a dedicated teacher, mentoring future allergists as an attending in the Fellow’s Allergy Clinic until very recently. His compassion for his patients and students as well as his clinical acumen and scientific curiosity will be greatly missed.
