Physician Scientist Training Program
Welcome to the Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) at the University of Rochester Medical Center! Our mission is to ensure your success and career development as a physician-scientist while making the training process as rewarding as possible.
Our PSTP is committed to preparing highly motivated trainees for careers in academic medicine. It generally follows the policies and requirements of the American Board of Internal Medicine's Research Pathway. We welcome applicants interested in General Internal Medicine or any of the Medicine subspecialties—we have highly qualified and enthusiastic mentors in all areas. We believe that outstanding clinical and research training are critical for your future success and we emphasize both aspects of the program. We realize that trainees have different backgrounds and needs and do our best to tailor the program to meet those needs.
I am a physician scientist myself and have trained at the University of Rochester and can thus personally attest to how supportive the scientific environment is and what a great place this is to be a trainee and faculty. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you are interested in applying to our program or have any questions at Jennifer_anolik@urmc.rochester.edu.
