Immunization Delivery and Policy

Immunization Delivery and PolicyOur group studies critical issues in child and adolescent immunization delivery and policy.

This includes studies involving:

  • Vaccine-preventable diseases and diseases potentially preventable by new vaccines (e.g., rotavirus and norovirus vaccines)
  • Influenza vaccination delivery (e.g., school-based flu vaccinations)
  • HPV vaccination delivery
  • Methods to improve influenza, HPV, and other adolescent immunization levels (e.g., reminder/recall, immunization registries, provider prompts, communication strategies)
  • Vaccine financing
  • Practice-based quality improvement initiatives

Our work has contributed to:

  • The licensure of new vaccines like the rotavirus vaccine
  • New vaccination recommendations such as universal influenza and adolescent vaccinations
  • New vaccination financing
  • Delivery mechanisms
  • National immunization guidelines
