General Pediatrics Research
The Division of General Pediatrics is a premier center for pediatric health services research, with a focus on improving health-care delivery and health outcomes for vulnerable children and youth. Our mission is to improve child health locally, regionally and nationally by promoting and sustaining rigorous health services research. Following in the prestigious footsteps of Dr. Robert Haggerty and Dr. Robert Hoekelman, our work is based on a multidisciplinary and community-based model of scientific investigation, practice change, and continuous quality and clinical improvement. Funding through local and national sources support several areas of research, including (but not limited to) asthma, immunization delivery, access to care, obesity, health literacy, adverse experiences in childhood, and telemedicine.
