• Center for Integrated Research Computing (CIRC) assists the university’s community of researchers in utilizing computational science and computing technology.

• Health Science Center for Computational Innovation (HSCCI) facilitates access to high-performance computational (HPC) resources for biomedical research, including a combination of hardware, research personnel, and support staff.

• UR Ventures is in the business of moving research discoveries from the laboratory to the world. UR Ventures manages IP and provides funding opportunities to promote the establishment of technologies to be licensed.
• National Center for Deaf Health Research (NCDHR) is a prevention research center which is part of a national network of researchers, agencies, and members that conduct applied research.
• Greater Rochester Practice-Based Research Network (GR-PBRN) brings together primary care clinicians and researchers in a collaborative way to improve patient care and outcomes.

Writing Resources

• Edward G. Miner Library is a massive academic health sciences library including resources for, publishing and research. We provide answers and expertise to help you work, learn, and achieve success.
• Becoming a Scientific Writer: Developed by the Department of Pediatrics Professor Constance D. Baldwin, Ph.D., this course is designed to help scientific writers master the complex forms, content, and modes of argument used in scientific articles and grant proposals.
• Writing Services offers scientific writing fundamentals and publication services.
• Scientific Writing Support: This 1-on-1 support is provided by Michael Bulger, Ph.D., an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Bulger has broad scientific interests and expertise, as well as extensive experience writing both manuscripts and grants. He has also served as a reviewer for a number of high impact journals and as a member of several NIH study sections. Scientific Writing Support includes guidance on initial submissions of manuscripts and grants, as well as advice on responses to reviewer comments. There is currently no charge.
