Welcome to the Data Science Core

Kelley
Douglas H. Kelley, Ph.D.
Principle Investigator

The purpose of the Data Science Core is to characterize and quantify how neural circuits control cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow and solute clearance during sleep and wake, in both mice and humans. We combine multimodal data from mathematical models and various experiments in both species.

The Data Science Core provides the essential infrastructure and produce innovative data methods to enable powerful synergy among the Projects. Our objective is to build on existing methods and tools previously developed by the co-PIs, take advantage of best practices in the field, and combine the expertise of experienced data scientists to build novel tools.

Aim 1

Provide infrastructure to integrate Project data, share code, and establish efficient workflows, leveraging existing best practices.

Aim 2

Develop new statistical and machine learning-based algorithms for quantitative information extraction from multi-modal brain imaging data.

Aim 3

Advance the field by sharing documented software and annotated data publicly.
