Electronic Laboratory Notebook
The University of Rochester Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) Committee, composed of faculty, staff, and students, reviewed potential ELNs, and based on the feedback from an initial round of ELN demonstrations and comparisons, has decided on LabArchives as the ELN of choice for the university. The committee looked at multiple options and considered how researchers liked the interface, the flexibility of the systems to adapt to different workflows, the ability to handle different file formats and sizes, integrations with other commonly used software applications, and the overall costs.
LabArchives research notebooks can be used to organize and manage laboratory data safely and conveniently using multiple platforms and devices. Whether managing a research lab as a principal investigator or reviewing students’ lab work as an instructor, LabArchives can be used to ensure effective research data management plans and help improve student learning
