An affiliate is an organization that supports AMRF missions and goals and has pledged to be proactive in promoting and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts within their organization and/or across the University.
The affiliate organizations listed on the AMRF website are those organizations that have demonstrated a commitment to DEI efforts through action within their organization and have worked in concert with AMRF to further our mutual missions and goals.
An ally is an individual while an affiliate is an organization.
AMRF strongly believes that there needs to be safe spaces for those who identify with diverse backgrounds, other than those represented by our organization.
We encourage and support the creation of other interest or affinity groups at the trainee level and would direct anyone with interest in creating their own organization to the Office of Equity and Inclusion.
We at AMRF look forward to engaging in activities alongside other organizations representing our diverse medical center community and we support the University of Rochester’s pledged commitment to creating myriad spaces that are reflective of the diversity of its workforce and community.
