Advantage Credit Union Delivers on Commitment to Support Patient Care

Thanks to Advantage Federal Credit Union’s Friends of Strong Debit Giveback Card, URMC Branch Manager David Samuelson, and Marketing and Business Development Strategist Laura Durant, stopped by to visit Friends of Strong Memorial Hospital and deliver a $2,500 check in support of patient care initiatives throughout the hospital.

The Debit Card Giveback program, which is offered to credit union members, has provided Friends of Strong with more than $8,500 in support of patient care since it first rolled out in 2017.

“A portion of every transaction made with a Giveback card adds up to another contribution toward enhancing the health care experience for patients and families throughout Strong,” Laura explains. “It’s a simple way to help create a meaningful impact just by using this card as you go about your daily routine."

In addition to the Debit Giveback Card, Advantage supports patient care programs by generously supporting many Friends of Strong fundraisers throughout the year; helping each event succeed.

If you’re interested in getting a card of your own, stop in to the Med Center branch conveniently located near the Post Office to learn more and sign up. As a special introductory incentive, those who open a new account and choose the Friends of Strong Debit Card now through May 28 will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Friends of Strong Gift Shop, along with a special one-time-use coupon for 25% off an in-store purchase.

University of Rochester employees, Friends of Strong Volunteers, Rochester Residents and their family members are eligible to become Advantage Federal Credit Union members. 

Advantage Federal Credit Union was established in 1931 as the Teacher’s Credit Union serving the Rochester City School District and has served the University of Rochester and Strong Memorial Hospital since 1985.
