St. Joseph's Neighborhood Center

We are a neighborhood place that provides 3,000 patients and clients health care for a small fee, and does not accept Medicaid, Medicare, or private insurance in reimbursement. Although many of our patients are from surrounding areas, we serve patients and clients throughout Greater Rochester. Together, U of R volunteers and the staff from St. Joseph’s provide holistic, patient-centered care.

Hours & Scheduling

We are open Tuesdays 6-8 p.m. by appointment. Call (585) 325-5260 to schedule work physicals and for specialty night scheduling.

• Pharmacy
• Physical exams
• Outpatient surgical procedures
• Screening services for hypertension, diabetes
• Ongoing care for chronic conditions
• Referrals
• Health education and preventative medicine
• Social work, social evaluations to determine patient eligibility for Medicaid programs
• Specialty care:
  • Dermatology (every other month)
  • Endocrinology (once per month): diabetes and thyroid disease management
  • Neurology (every other month)
  • Ophthalmology (once per month): eye exams, vision evaluation, glaucoma and cataract management
  • Orthopedics/MSK (once per month): musculoskeletal complaints, joint injections
  • Surgery (procedures) (every other month): cyst drainage, lipoma removals, general surgery consults 
  • Urology (every other month)
