Expectations of Members
- Acknowledge the Center grant (P30ES001247) in publications and presentations that report work that was supported by the Center.
An example statement is as follows: “This work was supported in part by grant P30ES001247 from the NIEHS/NIH. The content is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent official views of the funding agency.” - The P30 grant must also be associated with publications in "My Bibliography" on PubMed/NCBI, and all publications must be compliant with the NIH Public Access Policy.
- Actively and regularly participate in EHSC activities, such as attending monthly Center meetings, seminars, retreats, and special events.
- Maintain an active and funded research program and/or be engaged in educational, engagement or scholarly activity related to environmental health.
- Use and interact with Center facilities and cores as appropriate for your research, educational, scholarly or community engagement activities and goals.
- Respond to emails and other requests for information in a timely manner.
- Participate in the Center Pilot Project Program via submitting and/or reviewing proposals.
- When feasible engage with interested community audiences (community groups, public health professionals, educators, and/or government) in the Rochester area and beyond.
- Contribute to the Center’s monthly NIEHS highlights report and quarterly Center newsletter by regularly sharing research findings, grants, awards, engagement etc. with the Community Engagement Core staff.
- Commit to fostering a diverse and inclusive community for everyone to work and learn, following our Center’s mission, URMC’s ICARE values and the University’s MELIORA values.
