On Wednesday, July 10, a landscaping contractor will be onsite to replace dead plantings along Highland’s south driveway and the Bellevue cul de sac. This work will be done between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

North Entrance Construction Rescheduled

Asphalt driveway restoration work at the hospital’s North Oncology entrance is being rescheduled from this weekend May 25 and 26 to next weekend, June 1 and 2. Work will still start at approximately 7 a.m. and will be completed each day by 5 p.m.

Construction crews  will be working on completing concrete apron and asphalt driveway restoration work at the hospital’s North Oncology entrance the weekends of May 18 and 19 and May 25 and 26. This means access onto Mt. Vernon Ave. at the North Lot and North Building will be closed both weekends. Work will start at approximately 7 a.m. and will be completed each day by 5 p.m.

Chimney Infrastructure Repair

Chimney Infrastructure Repair

Contractors will begin power plant, tower, and chimney repairs starting Wednesday, April 24 at 8 a.m. This will include placing scaffolding around the tower so crews can repair the infrastructure. All work will be done during normal business hours. Noise will include normal construction noise on the north end of the hospital's campus.

Mt. Vernon Ave. Water Main Construction

Mt. Vernon Ave. Water Main Construction

Starting on Friday 11/2, contractors will be working on a new hospital water main on Mt. Vernon Ave. The northbound lane of Mt. Vernon (where it intersects with the hospital driveway) will be closed on Friday because of construction and there will be flagmen to direct traffic. Friday construction will take place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. A few houses will also be without water between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. while construction is underway. The addresses are 105 Rockingham St. and 332 – 382 Mt. Vernon Ave. The effected houses have been notified by the water department. The construction will involve trucks, excavators, pavement cutting equipment, and jackhammers. Neighbors will hear noise from this equipment and some dust will be present. 

On Saturday, the contractors will be working in the southbound lane and the hospital driveway off of Mt. Vernon. Saturday construction will take place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. The contractors plan to have the line completely installed by late Saturday afternoon. Restoration of the surfaces will occur over a couple of additional Saturdays (weather dependent).
