Second Fuel Tank Installed
The second fuel tank has been delivered. Backfilling and shoring removal for the tank is scheduled to begin on Monday, December 21. This is expected to cause the same level of noise as the shoring of the first tank.
Construction of the Pump House is scheduled to begin next week after the second tank is fully installed. The pump house will be attached to the hospital, behind the area of the first tank. Construction will start with drilling a micropile and building the foundations.
No work is scheduled for December 25, 26, 27 or January 1, 2, and 3. Crews will be working no later than 3:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Second Fuel Tank To Be Delivered
The second fuel tank will be delivered on December 17. Excavation and shoring placement for this tank will start on Friday, December 11 and crews will work on Saturday, December 12 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The crane used to unload the tank will access the site from the Mt. Vernon entrance while the tank itself will be delivered via the South Avenue entrance. Dump truck traffic, delivery trucks, and dumpster deliveries and removals will continue to use the South Avenue entrance. Shoring removal for the second tank is scheduled to begin on Monday, December 21. The same noise and vibration level that was experienced with the previous shoring removal can be expected.
There will be no work on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
2nd Fuel Tank Installation Begins
The first of two underground fuel tanks was set in place this week. Crews have started work for the installation of the second fuel tank (which will be located where the green X is on the blog photo). The 2nd tank is anticipated to be delivered on December 18. The crane used to unload the tank will access the site from Mt. Vernon while the tank itself will be delivered via South Avenue. Dump truck traffic, delivery trucks and dumpster deliveries and removals continue to utilize the South Access Drive off South Avenue with no deliveries before 7 a.m. in accordance with the City of Rochester noise ordinance.
No work is scheduled for Christmas Day or New Year’s Day.
Delivery of Trailer At Emergency Entrance
A trailer will be delivered on Thursday 12/3 to the Emergency Entrance parking lot. The 12 ft. x 60 ft. trailer will provide additional space for patients with non-critical emergency visits, supporting the hospital’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be located to the left of the Emergency Entrance door.
Also, DDS trucks will be parked on some area side streets over the next few days as Spectrum installs a new fiber line to the hospital.
Work Begins on Fuel Tank Installation
Site work has resumed starting with excavation for the shoring and fuel tanks which will take place over the 2 weeks. A new pipeline is also being installed during this time. Both projects are expected to create noise of debris dumping and back up trucks. There is also the potential for some minor vibration. There will be no work on Thanksgiving Day.
Due to the location of the fuel tank installation, crews will need to use the Mt. Vernon Ave. site access as the main entrance for deliveries to and from the site for about two weeks. Trucks using this route will drive from the Mt. Vernon access point down to Rockingham and through to South Ave. and will return using the same route.
