North Wall Update 10/31/19

The North wall project has now reached its final height. The metal clad backer panels and bricks will be installed on the side of the wall facing Rockingham Street starting next week. Even with the rain, this project is still on schedule to be completed in mid-November.

No MRI Construction This Weekend 10/26 and 10/27

There will be no outside work taking place on the MRI over the weekend. On Monday, October 28 there will be a delivery of rebar to reinforce the new concrete floor. Thursday, October 31 a concrete truck will be here around 11 a.m. to pour the first section of the floor, the truck will be here for about an hour. The truck will be parked next to the building and there will be noise from the truck and the pumping equipment. Also on Monday, October 28 a welding machine will be brought on site. It will be used off and on until November 7. The welder is anticipated to produce a low humming noise when in use.

North Retaining Wall Update 10/24

Construction on the North Wall continues. Around Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, metal clad backer panels will be installed on the side of the wall facing Rockingham Street. The metal clad backer will help fasten and align the brick, increase the mechanical strength of the structure, and improves the resistance to cracking during temperature changes. Even with the rain, this project is still on schedule to be completed in mid-November.

No MRI Construction This Weekend 10/19 and 10/20

There will be no work taking place on the MRI over the weekend. Construction on the project continues inside the hospital.

 

North Retaining Wall Update 10/17

Construction began Monday on the new North retaining wall and the scaffolding has been erected. For the remainder of this week and part of next week, repairs will be done on the existing wall to prepare it for the vertical addition on the wall. The project is on schedule so expect to see the screening wall to start appearing sometime around mid-week. Completion date is still scheduled for mid-November.
