Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM)

About ELAM:

Since it's inception in 1995, the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) program has provided a rigorous one-year fellowship focused on leadership development.  The program includes comprehensive coaching, networking, and mentoring initiatives designed to enhance the presence of qualified women leaders in academic medicine, dentistry, public health and pharmacy on the national scale.

The ELAM program is designed specifically for senior women faculty members at the associate or full professor level, identified as having significant potential to step into executive leadership roles at academic health centers within the next five years.  While advancing within executive ranks at AHCs is it's primary goal, ELAM also encourages graduates to pursue diverse leadership opportunities across their organizations.
