SMD Peer to Peer Professionalism Program (P2PP)

The SMD Peer to Peer Professionalism Program (P2PP) is a new peer-based method for colleagues in the basic sciences to help their colleagues by enhancing awareness of lapses in professional behavior using non-pejorative dialogue. The goal is to change behavior sooner, rather than initiating interventions when a situation hits crisis mode. Initially, this program will be anchored in basic biomedical research and graduate educational settings. The initial network of peer messengers and receivers will be basic science faculty, although situational awareness may relate to interactions among faculty, graduate students, fellows, and staff affiliated with basic science departments, and discovery-based science centers, programs and institutes at the URMC.

If you cannot easily access the URMC Intranet and would like to contact the SMD P2PP Program, either to ask a general question or inquire about involving a P2PP Messenger, please contact Kelly Chandler at kelly_chandler@URMC.Rochester.edu or (585) 273-2564.
