Saturday Work 6/18

Crews will be on site this Saturday, 6/18 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. doing fire proofing and installing plumbing inside the building. Exterior framing and sheathing will also be in the process of being installed on the outside of the building.

During the week, crews will be using the tower crane and buck hoist for a variety of construction related activities between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Fire proofing structural members will be occurring on the 4th floor for framing. Interior and exterior framing will be happening on the 5th, 6th, 7th and mechanical penthouse levels. Crew members will be working from boom lifts around the building to install framing and sheathing. Drywall will be installed on the 5th, 6th, and 7th floors. Mechanical, electrical and plumbing roughs in are also being put into multiple locations within the building.

Typical levels of construction noise and vibrations are expected with all of these activities. For the deep foundation work, any possible vibrations will be monitored by a third party testing agency.

Weekend Work 6/11 and 6/12

Crews will be on site on Saturday 6/11 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work will include fire proofing the structure inside the shrink wrapped building, plumbing pressure testing, and exterior framing.

A partial crew will also be on site Sunday 6/12 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. conducting plumbing pressure testing inside the shrink wrapped building.

During the week, the tower crane and buck hoist will be used for construction activities. Fire proofing will be happening on the 4th floor. Interior and exterior framing will be happening on the 5th, 6, 7th floors, and the mechanical penthouse. Drywall top fill will be installed on the 5th and 6th floors. Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough ins will also be installed in multiple locations within the building.

Food Trucks on Mt. Vernon Ave.

To offer our employees a bit of food variety, Highland is bringing food trucks to campus on a few select days this summer. On the following dates and times, a food truck will be parked in the Mt. Vernon Ave. cut out near the old oncology entrance:

June 9 – Marty’s Meats 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

June 15 - Effortlessly Healthy 10:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

June 29 - Roc City Sammich 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

July 7 - Effortlessly Healthy 10:45 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

We do not anticipate any traffic issues from this event. Neighbors are also welcome to purchase food while the truck is parked near to the hospital.

Saturday Work 6/4

Crews will be on site this Saturday, 6/4 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Activities will include fire proofing, framing, layout and plumbing/med gas piping inside the new tower. Outside, crews will be installing exterior framing and sheathing on the north side.

During the week, the tower crane and buck hoist will be used for activities on site and work will be going on from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fire proofing will be taking place on the 4th floor for framing. Interior and exterior framing will be happening on the 5th, 6th, 7th and mechanical penthouse floors. Drywall top fill will be happening on the 5th and 6th floors and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough ins will be happening throughout the building.

No Work Memorial Day Weekend

There will be no construction work on site Saturday, Sunday, or Monday of this coming weekend due to the Memorial Day holiday.

During the week, crews will be on site from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The tower crane and buck hoist will both be used for activities on site. Crews will be fire proofing structural members on the 4th floor and installing framing on the 5th, 6th, 7th, and mechanical penthouse floors. They will also be working from boom lifts on the south and part of the east elevation to install the exterior framing and sheathing. Drywall top fill is being installed on the 5th and 6th floors for mechanicals and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins are being installed in multiple locations within the building.
